Six receipt formats
Every template is built on one of six layouts, each modelled on the kind of printer that produces it. Switching format changes the font, the divider rules, the alignment, and the order the sections print in.
Thermal
Wide "=" rules and a card authorization block, the way a supermarket till slip prints.
Classic
Centred header, dashed rules, cash total at the foot: the everyday shop receipt.
Compact
Dense small type, left-aligned, with the timestamp at the foot instead of the head.
Minimal
Blank spacers instead of printed rules and no logo, for an airy boutique slip.
Diner
Table, server, and guest count across the top, the way food-service registers print.
Ledger
Left-aligned with ":" rules and the card details at the foot, like a terminal slip.
What you can change

Receipt maker FAQ
What receipt formats can I choose from?
Six: thermal, classic, compact, minimal, diner, and ledger. They differ in font, divider style, alignment, and which sections print where, so you can match the kind of register the receipt would have come from.
Can I change the currency and tax rate?
Yes. Set any currency symbol, choose how the number is formatted, and enter your own tax rate. Set the rate to zero and the tax line disappears from the receipt entirely.
Can I add a barcode or QR code?
Yes. Add the barcode section and switch it between a barcode and a QR code, then set the width and height so it sits correctly at the foot of the receipt.
Can I reorder or remove parts of the receipt?
Yes. Business details, date and time, items, totals, payment, the two-column block, the footer message, and the barcode are all separate sections you can add, delete, or drag into a different order.
Can I save a receipt and edit it later?
Yes, if you sign in. Saved receipts appear in your dashboard and reopen in the editor exactly as you left them. Signed out, the generator still works fully - the receipt just is not kept once you leave the page.
Does the download match the preview?
Yes. The preview is the same component that gets exported, rendered on your device, so the PDF and PNG are pixel-for-pixel what you saw on screen.
